Witnessing the challenges families faced in the North East’s family justice system, experienced barrister-mediators founded Fountain Mediation in 2012 to offer a more supportive approach.
We recognised a common thread: the desire for a smooth and respectful transition. Our founders understood that most families prioritise the well-being of their children, seeking solutions that ensure continued positive relationships with both parents, alongside fair financial arrangements.

Patricia Burke
After 20 years of experience practising as a Barrister in the Family Courts, Trish trained to become a family mediator. Trish specialises in mediation surrounding issues with child arrangements and financial matters and has an approachable, understanding, helpful and professional manner. She uses her wealth of knowledge and experience to help families resolve their issues away from Court.

Emma is the first point of contact for clients, providing information to help you decide whether mediation is right for you and arranging mediation sessions. She has vast knowledge of the mediation process and is able to arrange appointments and deal with any queries that may arise.
